As of Mar. 11, 187 exhibitors have already booked 481 booths for the 3rd Taiwan International Motorcycle Industry Show (Motorcycle Taiwan 2008), a 30% increase from last year's event, according to Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), organizer of the show.

TAITRA knows the critical advantage of convenience in today’s fiercely competitive business climate, so it is staging Motorcycle Taiwan 2008, running from Apr.

9-12 at Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Exhibition Hall 1, simultaneously with two other major shows: the Taipei International Auto Parts & Accessories Show (Taipei AMPA 2008) and Taipei International Automobile Electronics Show (AutoTronics Taipei 2008)......(more)

Motorcycle Taiwan 2008 revolves around the single, socially-conscious theme "New Era with a Green Earth," TAITRA said, for which the show would have a special display zone: The fuel-injection (FI) 5th-stage Emission Standard Pavilion to showcase related development achievements of environment-friendly products by local makers. Taiwan's 5th-stage emission regulation is the world's most stringent and demanding globally, one to be effective on the first day of 2009 after a grace period of about one year. All PTWs to measure up to such standard will have to be equipped with electronic fuel-injection (EFI) engines.

At the Green pavilion, Yamaha Motor Taiwan Co., the local subsidiary of Yamaha Japan, is scheduled to display the company's full-series EFI-engine scooter models conforming to the new emission standard....(more)

Big-bore Motorcycles, one of the four sub-themes of the event, TAITRA claims that  visitors would be treated to one of the best spectacles in Asia of big-displacement motorbikes, including all those machines of Hollywood glamour and big-screen lore such as Harley Davidson classics and modern upgrades with sophisticated paint finishes, chromed pieces and accessories, rear tires as wide as 250mm that can easily minimize traction loss when the impulse is sparked to whip the accelerator, as well as many concept models

premiered at the Tokyo Motor Show and EICMA 2007 (the 65th International Bicycle and Motorcycle Exhibition in Milan, Italy) in late 2007, where cutting-edge  advances showed new technologies, ergonomic designs, weight-saving vehicle frames etc....(more)

SYM: Engine of Life

(SYM brand), one of the top-two PTW manufacturers in Taiwan and a major global brand with production facilities in Taiwan, mainland China, Vietnam, and Indonesia, will participate the annual event for the first time to promote its high-quality products with global buyers........(more)

Giant Lion Know-How Co., Ltd., already a famous developer and manufacturer of electric vehicles, is scheduled to showcase its homegrown hybrid technology for motorcycles jointly developed with local National Taiwan University (NTU)'s department of mechanical engineering........(more)
